World Service Council Annual Meeting & Luncheon

World Service Council’s 97th Annual Meeting

New leaders of the YWCA USA and World YWCA, Alejandra Castillo and Malayah Harper, will speak at the World Service Council’s 97th Annual Meeting Thursday, October 25. Both will present on current initiatives and their vision going forward. Abigail Disney will update attendees on her films that bring awareness about injustice throughout the globe and that call for social change.

The luncheon event will take place at the Cosmopolitan Club in New York City and begin with a welcome reception at 9:30 a.m. followed by a Business meeting and program. The program continues after lunch with an interactive session and a focus on young women’s leadership in the YWCA movement. Jenna Foster, the USA’s World YWCA Board member and a current intern working at the World YWCA offices in Geneva will give perspective and context to the goal of engaging 100 million young women by 2035.
